Saying Yarḥamukallāh During The Friday Khuṭbah
Question (English)
What is the ruling on making tashmīt (saying yarḥamukallāh; may Allāh have mercy on you) of the one who sneezes during the Khuṭbah (Friday sermon)?
Official Transcript (English)
Shaykh Ṣāliḥ bn Fawzān al-Fawzān:
Do not make tashmīt of him during the Khuṭbah. Because it is speaking is prohibited while the Imām is delivering the sermon. However, when the Imām is done with the Khuṭbah, the make tashmīt of him. Naʿam.
