قول (حي على خير العمل) في الأذان
Saying: “Ḥayya ʿAlá Khayr Al-ʿAmal” In The Adhān
Question (English)
One of the brothers says: The people in our village differ into those who are in support of and those who reject (saying) the statement; Ḥayya ʿalá khayr al-ʿAmal (hasten to the best of deeds) in the Adhān. Some of them declare it permissible and some of them say it is an innovation. So which of that is correct?
Official Transcript (English)
Shaykh Ṣāliḥ bn Fawzān al-Fawzān:
That which is correct is that it is an innovation. And it is not permissible for us to agree with them. Naʿam.
