Burning Scraps That Have Fallen Out Of The Muṣḥaf
Question (English)
Among the questions that we received on our website, is (this): I have scraps of the Muṣḥaf (Quran) that fell out here and there. Is it permissible for me to burn them?
Official Transcript (English)
Shaykh Ṣāliḥ bn Fawzān al-Fawzān:
Yes. If you fear for them being disgraced, then burn them or bury them in a clean place. Just as the leader of the believers, ʿUthmān bn ʿAffān did. Naʿam.
