Duration Of Standing On The Last Day

Question

This is one of the brothers. He says: Regarding the statement of Allāh, the Most High (which means): ﴾The Day when (all) mankind will stand before the Lord of the worlds﴿ [al-Muṭaffifīn:6], and the statement of Allāh, the Most High (which means): ﴾In a Day the measure whereof is fifty thousand years﴿ [al-Maʿārij:4]. For how long is the standing on the Last Day, with respect to the believer and disbeliever?

Accepted Answer

Shaykh Ṣāliḥ bn Fawzān al-Fawzān: With respect to the believer, it is light. It will be light upon him. But as for the disbeliever, indeed it will be a long torment upon him. And there is no might nor power except by Allāh. Naʿam.
