Marrying A Second Wife For Offspring
الزواج بثانية لعدم الإنجاب
Question
He says: I have been married for four years and till now, there has been no pregnancy. So is it rightful for me to marry a second wife? And if I marry a second wife, am I sinful and have I oppressed the first wife? Benefit us, may Allāh reward you.
Official Transcript (English)
Shaykh Ṣāliḥ bn Fawzān al-Fawzān:
Get married to four. Allāh made that permissible for you. And this contains reward; getting married so as to safeguard oneself from corruption and because of offsprings, seeking righteous offsprings. So marry up to four women, if you are able to do that. Naʿam.
