Among the characteristics of the people of Jahiliyyah (Ignorance) was killing their children due to poverty. Mention what indicates this from the Quran?

من صفات أهل الجاهليَّة قتل صبيانهم بسبب الفقر؟ اذكر ما يدلُّ عليه من القرآن؟

Official Transcript (English)

Allah the Exalted said: {And kill not your children for fear of poverty. We provide for them and for you. Surely, the killing of them is a great sin} [Al-Isra: 31].

الجواب الكامل (باللغة العربية)

قال الله تعالى: {وَلَا تَقۡتُلُوٓاْ أَوۡلَٰدَكُمۡ خَشۡيَةَ إِمۡلَٰقٖۖ نَّحۡنُ نَرۡزُقُهُمۡ وَإِيَّاكُمۡۚ إِنَّ قَتۡلَهُمۡ كَانَ خطـأ كَبِيرا} [الإسراء:31].
