Official Transcript (English)

Yes, it is obligatory. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'He is not one of us who does not show mercy to our young and recognize the right of our elders.' (Ahmad).

نعم، هي واجبة، قال النَّبيُّ ﷺ: "ليس منَّا من لم يرحم صغيرنا، ويعرف حقَّ كبيرنا". (أحمد).
