Official Transcript (English)
It is recommended to teach them (La ilaha illa Allah, Muhammad Rasulullah). Ibrahim al-Taymi said: 'They used to recommend that the first thing a child is taught when he begins to speak is to say "La ilaha illa Allah" seven times, so that it is the first thing he utters.' (Musannaf Abd al-Razzaq). Also, Zayn al-Abidin Ali ibn al-Husayn would teach his child to say: 'I believe in Allah and I disbelieve in the Taghut (false deities).' (Ibn Abi Shaybah).
الجواب الكامل (باللغة العربية)
يستحبُّ تلقينهم (لا إله إلَّا الله، محمَّد رسول الله)، قال إبراهيم التَّيمي -رحمه الله-: كانوا يستحبُّون أوَّل ما يفصح -الطِّفل- أن يعلموه: لا إله إلَّا الله سبع مرَّات فيكون ذلك أوَّل ما يتكلَّم به. (مصنف عبد الرَّزاق). وكان زين العابدين علي بن الحسين، يعلِّم ولده، أن يقول: آمنت بالله وكفرت بالطَّاغوت. (ابن أبي شيبة).
