Yes, it is recommended to seek children. The Prophet ﷺ said: "Marry the loving and fertile, for I will be proud of your great numbers before the Prophets on the Day of Resurrection." (Ahmad). So if he is going to boast of our numbers before the nations, it is recommended to seek children.
الجواب الكامل (باللغة العربية)
نعم، يستحبُّ طلب الولد، قال ﷺ: "تزوَّجوا الودود الولود، فإنِّي مكاثر الأنبياء يوم القيامة". (أحمد). فإذا كان مُكاثِراً بنا الأممَ، فيستحبُّ طلبُ الولد.
