هل من الحكمة بدء الدعوة بغير التوحيد لتقريب الناس؟

The religion has shown us the method to call to Allāh. A book that discussed the correct methodology of calling to Allāh is the book of Shaykh Rabīʿ Al-Madkhalī (may Allāh preserve him); Manhaj al-Anbiyāʾ. The Qurʾān suffices. The prophets called the people to reflect on Allāh's signs in His creations and used these signs to explain the reality of Tawḥīd to them. It is not proper to follow a path other than that of the Prophet (ﷺ) and his brothers from the messengers. The innate disposition of humans conforms with Tawḥīd. Starting the call with other than Tawḥīd, stories, narrations, etc., is not the way of the messengers. It is not proper to involve your personal opinions, intellect, and desires in the daʿwah. Rectify your call with the methodology of the prophets. [The Shaykh quoted a lot of verses on how the prophets and messengers called their people to Tawḥīd with gentleness, leniency, and kindness.] The innovated groups see the path of the Qurʾān as unsuitable, so they invented new methods for themselves. This method is the one that brings the people closer. What is upon you is to convey the message. It is only Allāh that grants guidance. The people's guidance is not in your hands. It is the Qurʾān that Allāh sent down for the people's guidance. Likewise, some of the people initially hated the Prophet (ﷺ) but when they got closer to him and heard his call, they began to love him and later accepted his call. The daʿwah (call) should be based on the Qurʾān. Not on the desires of the people, dreams, experiences, etc.
