How do parents protect their children from Shaytan before their birth? State the evidence.
الجواب الكامل (باللغة العربية)
يستحبُّ التَّسمية عند الجماع، حتَّى يجنِّب الله تعالى الصِّبيان شرَّ الشَّياطين، قال النَّبيُّ ﷺ: «لو أنَّ أحدكم إذا أتى أهله قال: «بسم الله جنِّبني الشَّيطان وجنِّب الشَّيطان ما رزقتني فإن كان بينهما ولد لم يضرَّه الشَّيطان ولم يسلَّط عليه». (البخاري).
Official Transcript (English)
It is recommended to mention the name of Allah (Tasmiyah) when having marital relations, so that Allah Almighty may protect the children from the evil of the devils. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'If anyone of you, when having relations with his wife, says: "In the name of Allah, O Allah, keep the Shaytan away from me and keep the Shaytan away from what You provide us with," and if a child is born to them between that, the Shaytan will not harm him nor be given power over him.' (Al-Bukhari).
